CALENDAR AGE versus REAL AGE

Recently I met up with someone I had not seen for years. Their birthday is within weeks of mine and we were born in the same year. Although I knew this person had experienced some health challenges this past year, I was SHOCKED to see how old they looked. For sure they appeared 20 years older than we actually are.

So, when I ran across this website that provides a free assessment of one's real age, I knew that I had to give it a whirl. You can check it out and learn your real age at www.realage.com.

My calendar age is 52.5. My real age is 47.4 revealing a difference of -5.1.

This is good news for me as I have worked hard over the last 6 years to become more healthy. My wake up call (chronicled here in a previous posting) shortly after the turn of the century prompted me to lose close to 100 pounds so far. I exercise regularly. I have dramatically changed my lifestyle and eating habits. I take supplements, sleep 8+ hours almost every night, meditate regularly, and have embraced specific action plans that reduce harmful stress in most every area of my life. Nothing for me has been off limits!

One of my goals is to be healthy, vigorous, and full of life. Many of the things I've done are talked about in the recommendations this website made for me upon taking their assessment. I will be buying Michael Roizen's book, YOU: Staying Young. There is no doubt that I can glean some more ideas on living life to the max!
